Hi Chao,

Are you running in timing mode? No output will be collected in atomic as the
time-stamps and stats are rather meaningless (we might want to re-consider
this).

Subject: Re: [gem5-users] trace of commMonitor

Hi Andreas,

The wiki page is really helpful, but I could not still solve my problem.
I specified the trace file, and it only contains an initialization information
with out useful trace lines:
gem5
  system.monitor ???
If I open the trace file with vim, it appears like the above.
So I・?・m still confusing where should I check? Because when checking the mail
list, I found my problem should not be there if I connected the commMonitor
right.

Thanks for your reply.

Subject: [gem5-users] trace of commMonitor

Hi all,

I・?・m using the commMonitor tracing between L1 and L2 cache. I have connected
it written in ・?・CacheConfig.py・?・, and find it appears in ・?・config.ini・?・.
So I think I have connected it right. (Thanks for the guidance of this mail
list.) But after simulation I find there is almost no trace in the generated
trace file in ・?・m5out/" directory.
I ran a benchmark in SE mode for ALPHA ISA, and enabled the ・?・CommMonitor・?・
debug flag.

Which part should I check to get the trace?
Could anyone post some sample lines of the trace from commMonitor?

Regards,
Chao
