I think these two patches are out of date. They should be modified to support the latest version of gem5. As you know, the developing version changes all the time. My version may not support the current newest version either. Andreas has done a lot of work for the SimpleDRAM. I am not sure if it can meet your demand. Alternatively, I also recommend another powerful memory simulator by my colleague - Matt Poremba.
