Hello,

I'm glad you were able to resolve the same difficulty I had.

Does anyone know if there are video tutorials (ie Youtube) on running gem5? It
would be much clearer to first time users.

Thank you,

Ok. :) I really own you an apology. My simulation was totally OK, but my
expectations were bad!! I thought that I will have new terminal windows inside
of the simulations window, not as external. I cannot believe that this caused
me a trouble.

Just to claryfy if anyone in future is confused by this. WHEN YOU RAN THE
SIMULATION, YOU HAVE TO OPEN ONE MORE TERMINAL AND CONNECT VIA TELNET or
M5TERM. The original simulation window handles Linux, and additional the
communication with the shell.

Thank you all.

Have you tried to connect with telnet or m5term? That's where you see the boot
messages.

Ok. My problem is visible and the steps which I did are clear. I am asking for
help how to finish booting since that is where I am stuck. Not terminal
communication which should occur after booting.

I am sure that you are one of the most knowledgeable about gem5 ( I can say
that by reading posts) and I guess that I was confusing because of my personal
deadlines. Please, correct me in everything which I did, so that I can learn.

Thank you

It loops forever after this.

It seems you have solved the halting problem.

The only thing which I could mess up here is the Syspath.py, but it
would dislplay something related to that.

Hope this helps. i appreciate your effort

This output you have posted is absolutely useless in the current context.
