Thanks Nathaniel. You were right that I hadn't put in the #include. However, I now find that (although I do have the DebugFlag directive in the SConscript file) it still isn't generating the debug/Tube.hh (or debug/tube.hh) file.
I should point out that tube.cc and tube.hh are kept in src/dev/arm, because that seemed more logical. Best regards Robert.
