Hi all,

i' ve some question about the MOESI_CMP_token protocol.
I would like to know if this protocol can be considered similar to a directory protocol in terms of traffic and performance (like the tokenD implementation of the token coherence protocol). How the tokens are asked with a broadcast message or with a request to a directory at the home node?
I'm also interested in invalidation.
I would like to know if there is some mechanism to collect invalidations.
I mean in a directory protocol when a core wants to perform a write operation an invalidation is sent to all sharers. In a token protocol this is pratically done by every sharers responding to a write request sending all its tokens for the specific cache block.
Is there a way to track this?

Thanks

Paolo
