I am pleased to invite the community to the "GEM5 - Computer Architecture
Research Bootcamp" to be held from *November 25th to 30th* at the Faculty
of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (tentative
schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm), in Pavilion 0 + inf, *Buenos Aires,
Argentina*.

In this workshop, you will learn about processor simulators used in the
research and development of processor architecture. Specifically, we will
use gem5, one of the most widely used tools in this field, both in academia
and industry. You will see how to run experiments using the simulator and
explore everything that can be done with such simulators.

The bootcamp will span several full days and include an interactive
workshop focused on learning gem5. During this workshop, you'll apply
hands-on the architecture concepts taught in class.

The workshop is designed to be inclusive, without assuming any prior
experience with gem5. The goal is to provide participants with a solid
foundation in gem5 that enables them to conduct research in computer
architecture. For those students not based in Buenos Aires, we are looking
into providing scholarships to help cover travel expenses.

This course is open to undergraduate and graduate students (academic credit
is being processed).

The instructors for the course are:

   - Elba Garza (Assistant Teaching Professor, Paul G. Allen School of
Computer Science & Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, WA USA)
   - Tamara Silbergleit Lehman (Assistant Professor, Electrical, Computer,
and Energy Engineering, University of Colorado Boulder, USA)
   - Jason Lowe-Power (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science,
   University of California, USA)

It’s not yet confirmed, but we may be able to offer financial support (at
least partially) to cover travel and accommodation expenses in Buenos Aires
during the course.

Please fill out the form to let us know if you're interested in attending
and if you'll need financial assistance: https://forms.gle/qYZmxKat1MvPq2qw5

If you have any questions, please contact us at emocs...@dc.uba.ar.

Best regards,

tramitando puntaje).

Los profesores a cargo del curso son:

   - Elba Garza (Assistant Teaching Professor, Paul G. Allen School of
Computer Science & Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, WA USA)
   - Tamara Silbergleit Lehman (Assistant Professor, Electrical, Computer
and Energy Engineering, University of Colorado Boulder, USA)
   - Jason Lowe-Power (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science.
   University of California, USA)

Saludos.
