hello Markus, I've also switched to gnome3, since it's shipped with Fedora. I hated it and now I like it. It's a complete new look and feel. Give it a try, learn the shortcuts. I do the most of my tasks with the keyboard and that's much better in gnome3 than in previous versions. I haven't noticed any problems with geda, yet.
