You're making my point. 36% is way under the 900% that I budgeted to show that it still isn't a big deal in terms of file size-- absolutely negligible in determining how portable the code is. There are plenty of good arguments for and against XML. Interesting idea. Could preview footprints *natively* at gedasymbols. It *would* be pretty awesome to be able to use SVG graphics for silk layers.
