Hi,

Two different software / two different implementations.

/vsis3/ support in GDAL applies to *almost* every GDAL supported formats (all those which declare the DCAP_VIRTUALIO capability). netCDF is in a weird position. On Linux, thanks to using Linux tricks, it also applies to netCDF support. On other platforms, we can't. So you might have to use libnetcdf own mechanism for that

Hello

What the difference is between the generic vsis3 support in GDAL and the compile time ENABLE_S3 option for netcdf (and possibly drivers)?

Best regards,
Parveen

My software is free, but my time generally not.
Butcher of all kinds of standards, open or closed formats. At the end, this is
just about bytes.
