All, I would like to motion to migrate gdal.org <http://gdal.org/> from our self-managed GitHub Pages infrastructure to ReadTheDocs. You can read specific details about the migration in the ticket at https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/10434
This migration will provide some significant positive improvements to our documentation management. They include: hosted multi-version documentation, convenient build validation on PRs, and distributed management of the documentation setup through the website. There may be some growing pains as a result of the migration in terms of search indexing and management of those multi-version documentation sets. Over the next month or so, Dan, Even, and Javier will coordinate with the OSGeo SAC to move the DNS pointer to RTD and react with any updates that might need to be made as a result.
