Javier has been involved with GDAL for quite a time now, as a responsive user & ticket reporter, and has occasionally contributed fixes. Javier is well anchored in our ecosystem, with deep knowledge of CRS topics and PROJ (I've also nominated him for PROJ membership), contributing to PDAL as well. As part of his job, he's involved in orthomosaic/raster generation out of images and photogrammetry pipelines. His perspective would be most welcome.
