LGPL+exception - the soft-fp license - is what I've suggested before as what would definitely be safe for any LGPL glibc code moving to be more permissively licensed for use as a library distributed with GCC. (I think the GPL+exception used for libgcc etc. would also be safe - but it's more obviously safe for all uses to add an exception to the license currently in use.) -- Joseph S.
