See also http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32354 although if AIX doesn't support $ORIGIN then the suggested configure-time option wouldn't be so useful, as the path couldn't be relative and the gcc installation wouldn't be relocatable.
