I have committed this patch. The crx maintainer (Pompapathi Gadad) contacted me via private mail and indicated it would be OK to obsolete the crx port. Following David and Joseph's comments, along with the lack of activity for SCORE targets for the past several years[*], I think the SCORE port is overdue.
