You didn't say what kind of problems you ran into. Without details, we can't really help.

I can say that, historically, the LynxOS support in FSF gcc has been poor, and unlikely to be usuable without some work. We stopped supporting gcc-3.2.x a long time ago, so we aren't going to do anything to fix problems with it.

If you are using a gcc from someone else that has been modified to support LynxOS, then perhaps it should work, but you would have to talk to the vendor. We don't support gcc versions released by others.

On the plus side, there was some LynxOS work done last year.

        * config.gcc (case i[34567]86-*-lynxos*): Update to LynxOS 4.0.
        (case rs6000-*-lynxos*): Rename it to powerpc-*-lynxos*.  Update
        to LynxOS 4.0.

These patches are in the gcc-4.0.x series. So if you have LynxOS 4.0, then gcc-4.0.2 should work for you.
