Yes, normally gmail isn't this aggressive. And it wasn't for all
@gmail.com accounts, just 26. But this was so many that I decided to
just proactively resubscribe/reactive them.

If it would have impacted you (in this case it didn't, dunno why your
@gmail.com was special) then you would get an email about being
"disabled" and 3 reminders in the next 14 days to reenable your address
before being really, completely be unsubscribed.
