>From lurking the mailing lists, it looked like that's what people were saying, but I never saw any sort of official deprecation notice in the caveats section of https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-6/changes.html or any of the other places I might expect to find deprecation notices... (such as other places around the website, or in the source code itself...)
