So, this isn’t the GNU way. We need to get permission from and they need to grant us, or they need to sign an assignment or it needs to be reimplemented. They need to ask themselves, if they want us to support their standard or not. Getting permission might take a week to a month, but, it is better to go that route. If they don’t want to grant us what we want, then they are likely to want to sue users of our compiler, and in that case, we are better not putting it in in the first place. My vote would be for the SC to nix this until the issue is resolved.
