This is effectively a dup of PR122609 I think.
I agree this is important to fix, but will require a fair bit of work.
Unfortunately due to some circumstances outside my control I've not been able
to do any work on GCC the last few months; unless that changes soon hopefully
somebody else will have capacity to take a look.
