Thanks! We were trying to access the '.const' 'crc_table_for_crc_16_polynomial_0x1021[256]' with generic addressing, causing the 'CUDA_ERROR_ILLEGAL_ADDRESS's. We either have to use 'ld' etc. with '.const' state space modifier, or first convert the '.const' address to a generic one -- and the latter ('cvta.const') is, I suspect, what the use of 'output_constant_def' now takes care of.
