Programs might also store time_t values in containers not having time_t. I'll note GCC itself doesn't know time_t (it knows for example FILE * and fenv_t * and also struct tm *) and of course size_t. We have a builtin for strftime but no other time related function. Since time_t is C11 the reserved name could be claimed (at least once declared in a compatible way).
