The latter FAIL is back (tested '-march=gfx908'):

    PASS: gcc.dg/vect/slp-12a.c (test for excess errors)
    PASS: gcc.dg/vect/slp-12a.c execution test
    PASS: gcc.dg/vect/slp-12a.c scan-tree-dump-times vect "vectorized 1 loops"

    [-PASS:-]{+FAIL:+} gcc.dg/vect/slp-12a.c scan-tree-dump-times vect
"vectorizing stmts using SLP" 1

..., because:

    gcc.dg/vect/slp-12a.c: pattern found 2 times

I've not bisected which change of the last 1.5 weeks is responsible.
