--- Comment #7 from antto <antto at mail dot bg> --- honestly, this was just a semi-serious idea, and then some people on IRC surprisingly said that they like it and encouraged me to submit it (and i was surprised, but here it is, i submitted it) a possible usecase is, maybe testing a code snippet with something like compiler explorer with a few different versions of GCC obviously at the moment if this got implemented, only the newest gcc version would recognize the new option, so this usecase wouldn't really work for, but eventually after several versions of GCC and the language and several years this usecase could "work", even if it's not exciting at all sorry, i can't think of a much better usecase, and i already regret submitting this, i hope the people who encouraged me to do it would come and give better suggestions or motivation than me if not - ignore
