In gdb nowadays, if you never want to step into a function, you can tell gdb
that with the 'skip' command.  There are a bunch of those in the gcc .gdbinit
for tiny functions like std::move, and I have a few in my ~/.gdbinit as well.

It seems the libstdc++ python hooks could set that up for users with
gdb.execute ("skip std::move")?
