I think all here will agree that there's no need to apologize, as family/health should always come first. As for your work, if all goes fine, then I'll have validated your patch tomorrow, so "The Last 2%" of the work can start. One or two more days and I can make my local dev-system reproducible, so anyone can jump in to run the tests and try to spot things. I believe that it should be you (pipcet) that sends the final patch in (even if I do modifications), but if you cannot do it, then "placing you initial patch under public domain" should enable me to send a modified version in. Now, going on, trying to keep the self-declared deadline (5th Dec. 2020).
