Use CFLAGS, BOOT_CFLAGS and STAGE1_CFLAGS (and CXXFLAGS) if you don't want to
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH or have ld.so find shared libraries in those locations. 
Again this is not a GCC issue rather you having a custom requirement and you
are not setting the correct env variables.
