I don't get any internal compiler error for the test in comment 0 from 4.8 up
to trunk (6.0). However I am surprised that I don't get any error. The
following test
character(4) :: str
str=['a', 'b']
print *, str
end
gives
str=['a', 'b']
1
Error: Incompatible ranks 0 and 1 in assignment at (1)
