If you look carefully, you'll find out that isn't that surprising.
The _static, wdate-time.c and pr65316_1.C files were added post 4.9.2, but as
empty files or directories, so diff can't really represent them. And
similarly, dso used to be an empty directory in 4.9.2, that has been removed
afterwards.
