--- Comment #6 from John Paul Adrian Glaubitz <glaubitz at physik dot fu-berlin.de> --- Hi! I did some more tests and it turns out, my current compiler can't even build gcc-4.9 anymore. Inspecting the build log [1] closer hints at problems when the stages 2 and 3 are being compared: Comparing stages 2 and 3 warning: gcc/cc1-checksum.o differs warning: gcc/cc1obj-checksum.o differs warning: gcc/cc1objplus-checksum.o differs warning: gcc/cc1plus-checksum.o differs Bootstrap comparison failure! gcc/d/ctfeexpr.dmd.o differs Makefile:19827: recipe for target 'compare' failed I have downgraded to a previous version of the gcc-4.9 package now which has built gcc-4.9 successfully in the past. I'm building gcc-4.9 and gcc-5 in parallel on different hosts now, I will know the result in the weekend (slow hardware). To be followed up.
