This should be ultimately fixed in libbacktrace (see for example: https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2012-10/msg00053.html), because as I understand it it is libbacktrace that provides symbolization for libsanitizer. In the meantime, the testsuite requirements should be relaxed. The question for the sanitizer maintainers is: is Dominique's patch acceptable to achieve this?
