I did not realize this because it compiled fine on the same computer last fall in UBUNTU 13.04. I then updgraded to U13.10 which finally made it impossible to install lme4 and RcppEigen in R. U13.10 was too heavy for my computer so I then downgraded to U12.04 but it still will not compile. I guess I will need more memory for this to work.
