The bug report occurred when I changed basisData : tBasisData(Positive 1..2); to: basisData : tBasisData(Positive range 1..2); after getting the error: a range is not a valid discriminant constraint (I'm just a re-learner after many years of absence for Ada) -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41854
