[Bug other/40449] New: Incompetable Error when build

Dear GUN team,

I came across the following error when I try to compile gcc4.04:
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64//libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64//libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64/libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64/libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lc
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status


I am very stuck right now, and don't know what to do.

My OS is centos3.4(final), the current gcc version is 3.2.3

Could you please help me install gcc4.0.4 on my machine?
