I have since switched target platforms and can not test your patch but thank you kindly for fixing the bug I reported on 2007-07-02. It only took 14 months for everyone to be annoyed with this breakage for someone (great) to fix it. Leaving such a bug in for so long only served to foul the code and to prove that something was not correct leaving other portions suspect. Removing the bug instills greater confidence in that portion of the code and indeed leads one to imagine that the rest of gcc is now better for it. For this we all thank you.
