The problem with stubs is because the libstdc++-v3 configure machinery is not recognizing that AIX libm already provides all of those functions, as it detects with AIX 5. I am continuing to investigate. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=34794
