Personally I could not care less if it is swept under the rug, like so many other PR's. Without-altivec would suit me fine as altivec is, to me, just a competive and unnecessary competitive response, by then Motorola, to Intel's SSE, which to me is just gumming up the X86 part of the compiler. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32347
