Regardless whether NaN is defined, in an ordered set MAX(a, b) should always
equal MAX(b, a).

For the record:
$> ifort pr32048.f90 && ./a.out
   2.100000
   2.100000

$> sunf95 -w4 pr32048.f90 && ./a.out
Floating point exception
