Looks like there are some invalid pointers. Whether the program crashes or not depends on the garbage they are pointing to. This looks actually similar to PR 18923 where we also get crashes or garbled names in error messages. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25252
