Please define "fixed". You run an invalid program, all you need is change
your expectations what will happen.
It is the same as if you write
pthread_mutex_t m;
pthread_mutex_init (&m, NULL);
pthread_mutex_lock (&m);
pthread_mutex_lock (&m);
The deadlock might be detected or might not, at which point it would hang.
