I have had a look at this for 4.1, and the effort
to backport this patch and the one for PR 30056 will
be fairly large.
Because 4.1 has neither stream I/O nor the subrecod
patch, fixing would require a substantial rewrite
of the patch.
Comments? Does anybody feel this is important?
