[Bug other/29540] Obverse of PR 28177, regression patches for 4.2.0 ending up in trunk

Those were not regressions at all.  They were patches which had been approved
for 4.3 but Richard forgot to mark the bugs as blocking the 4.3 pending patches
bug.
