That does not make sense.
Anyways try these instructions:
cd gcc-src # the toplevel directory
mkdir objdir
cd objdir
../configure #rest of your configure options
make bootstrap
mske install

Also you don't want to do "--with-cpu=powerpc" as that will disable all the
features that are in the G3 and above.
