I now see that this is not vanilla boost 1.33.1 but one which contains an enhanced tuple which can accomodate up to 32 elements. Anyway, the attached preprocessed file compiles fine with older versions of GCC. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=26919
