One thing though: I donwloaded the gcc source package ( gcc-4.0.2-20051126.tar.bz2) from the GNU site, not from redhat. As i stated on my post, i could not find the fio.h header file that would allow me to fix this problem on the source package from GNU (this is why i actualy posted the problem here and not on redhat.
