Well, the first thing to do is really to fix the documentation, since GCC_EXEC_PREFIX is mentioned in several places in the documentation, in an inconsistent manner. Some places do document the behavior which the Ada test suite would like to rely upon (GCC_EXEC_PREFIX strictly equivalent to the -B switch), that's basically the old behavior, and some other places don't (that's the new behavior). I would personally vote for fixing things so that GCC_EXEC_PREFIX can be used instead of -B Arno -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=14435
