I think it needs backporting this particular patch from Richard to 3.4 branch

* arm.c (arm_legitimate_index_p) Allow DFmode for soft-float
and DImode to use +/-4k offset.
may be then it can be closed as duplicate of bug #12133 if the patch is
backported to gcc 3.4 branch
