Half naked businessmen at Indore's Regal Square
For the last 3 days (9-11 Apr 2012) the state of M.P (Madhya Pradesh) is
inflicted with total shut-down by the trading community, voicing their dessent
against the central government's proposed Food-Safety-Act.
Due to this protest, all fine-dining restaurents, thelas, dhabbas, food booths,
restaurants & kirana stores remained closed, causing immense dis-comfort to the
common man.
However this post if not to dicuss the merits or demerits of this act, rather
its to discuss one unexpected but pleasant outcome of this move. At Indore's
regal square hundred's of traders removed their shirts in open defiance in
front of the cameras. It was but a scene to behold. This part of India, known
has Malwa+Nimar+Mewar is a melting pot with business in the hold of
Gujrati-Jain-Agarwal-Maheshwari-Soni-Sindhi folks.
And when these young sexy businessmen decide to display their golden-hairy
naked chest, the already hot April sun reaches its zenith. :) Folk like me go
week in their knees just catching a glimpse of this treat in the local
newspapers. It's like a trip through my childhood days, when I used to have
crush on numerous handsome-super-sexy Agrawal teenagers who were making their
rites of passage in their parent's shops. Many handsome-hairy Jains too were
too sexy & goodlooking to be just plain dukandaar :)
Pink lips, square jaw, wavy hairs, hairy chest & lower limbs with an ocassional
red tilak on their forehead & a red-sacred strings on thier wrist. Its an image
of manliness I grew up with & always urged to grasp as much as my eyes could
take.
At many instances I visit a stationary shop near my house just to eye & oggle
at the very handsome gora-chitta young agrawal shopkeeper & I end up buying
things I don't require at all :)
