Jim,
I uninstalled the football game and reinstalled it. so when setting it up I
hit the backspace several times before typing my coach's name\
masters
Then when it asked for my quarterback name I hit the backspace several
tiomes and hit enter to let it set its own name. then when it asked for the
visitor's quarterback name I backspaced several times then hit enter and
accepted the name it gave me.
the game started and again during the kickoff I got the error message.
So now what?

Hi Dean,
Yes, the back space works in my input routine when asked to enter the name
of your coach. You do not want to use any commas or punctuation. Really
just letters of a name.
And don't for get that you need to run the uninfoot.bat file to delete all
of the football*.dat files first.
