Just wondering? When you get the long rose wood branch for your weapon,
what weapon is that, want to get its skill up? Second, later in the game do
you get better spells?

Unfortunately, the documentation isn't as complete as it might be.
You use your skill points with the - and = keys, ---- pluss and minus,
probably located next to your backspace.
One of the topics which is complete in the wiki does contain a key list,
which you might find helpful to look at.
