Hello.

I'm incredibly familiar with the Boulderdash game and concept.

The problem I can see though, is that you need a very wide view of the 
objects at a great distance around your player, ---- even more than in 
nethack or other aski games.

I can certainly see though how such a thing would be playable in 
braille, ---- provided you had a sufficiently good braille display and could 
accurately explore a large amount of the environment around your character.

Thus far though, I've had very bad luck playing even things like nethack 
with speech, ---- due to the complex nature of the look commands around you, 
and the way screen readers read text.

If I ever get a braille display, I'll certainly look into this one though, 
sinse I'd be interested to see how Bd converts.
